What People Really Think (Spoiler: Not Much)
Most people are too busy living their own lives to judge yours. Here’s why that’s freeing.

Morning—Clay here.
Not everyone will understand the choices you make. Today’s Kindling is about why that matters a lot less than we think.

What People Really Think
When I first started posting Campfire Gentleman online, I hesitated every time I hit “publish.”
As an introvert, I was sure people would roll their eyes. I imagined old co-workers or high school friends thinking, What does this idiot have to say?
But here’s what actually happened: almost nothing. A few people encouraged me. Most didn’t even notice. No drama. No backlash.
And here’s the interesting part — by the time they do notice, you’ve probably already built something worth noticing. The people who matter will be cheering you on. The rest? They’re too busy with their own lives to care.
So much of the fear about doing something different is just a story we tell ourselves. The reality is quieter, and better, than we expect.

Quote of the Week
There is no refund on your time. How you spend your time is how you spent your time.

Resources worth your time
🎧 The Rich Roll Podcast w/ Jim Murphy — First heard of Inner Excellence from A.J. Brown’s sideline antics. This interview made me finally read it… both are worth your time.
Until next time—
Keep the fires burning,
— Clay
